hong kong wei dao (hong kong's food memories...)

Christmas is in the air.... The gang of girls, the chosen choir, are eager to try on their party clothes and rehearsing the carols by playing them from the stereo, whilst the others are busy with their own life whether in their rooms, or outside or abroad.

... when mom announces that a piece of drama, music of that night ... will require nomination from them to play the roles... Mom hasn't quite decided who's who... Everybody become nervous and quite anxious to get a major role...

Cherie, sister of Beatrice d'Este Sforza, Italian blythe, whose ancestors are the courtly inventors of the game of tarot, thinks that she deserves the role of Magdalene, the virgin mother embrassing the cradle of baby Jesus, or the soprano ot the christmas carols

The newly arrived member of family, Diva, whose vocation is a rock star, naturally shares the thought of Cherie. She must be confined the singing role... She is dressed in Russian, Kremlin nobility style

Anais, the 'nose' who comes from the Provence in France , is Mom's favourite girl because of her being francaise...

Cherie and Diva chat in a corner and almost come into terms of sharing the two major roles...

Anais is not a jealous girl who has her self righteousness

The two girls talk about strategies to win mom's favour...

while Cheshire, overhearing their conspiracy, steps in... who always got authority as she is a kenner...

She summons Anais to a reunion round the fireplace. "Given my majesty as a kenner, and my musical talents, I can tell you that am nominated the choir leader and the Magdalen role, I'll play both."

Achillée and Anaïs spent the day watching birds. It's their first day out since their granddad's death

Life is but a moment to be captured.

The comfort of the Nikons and their glasses, that opens one to inspiring, creative and spectacular vistas, could be a distracting pastime in these moments

birds looming about over Hamlet's promontory, in the brave o'erhanging firmament, the majestical roof fretted with golden fire... which appear no other thing than a congregration of vapour

Yet what is this quintessence of dust?

a reflection on death...

without an answer

to much chagrin

and sudden loneliness under the unpredictable cold sun

What happened was gone with the wind...

(a Hong Kong story)

The First of May Anais went to the Flower market to look for the muguets (lily of the valley) and other ingredients for bouquet decorations

among the purple tones

white muguets and flaming red tulips

Anais' piccadilly friend, just back from scuba diving in Plymouth in the English channel, took the TGV down south to visit her in Aix-en-Provence

on anais, liberty print shirt and denim skirt (sugarmag),denim boots (azone); on picca, sunflower coloured provencal print ensemble and cap (blythehautecouture), creamy white shoes (momolita preta)
post scriptum: it's perhaps time for anais home to be refurbished... see the time defied wallpaper!
Easter Friday... we continue to visit Anaïs country home in Arles

lavender and sandalwood scents hover in the air from the exotic arabian incense burner... and her bird singing in the air

brewing tea and playing with her SD sized rune doll

somebody's knocking on the door...

it's her sister, Cenerentola, returning home from vacations

Cenerentola brings along fresh lavender and purple roses

an Easter reunion

Cenerentola was named after Cinderella, in italian, because she has been wearing this cinderella outfit for long long time...

Anaïs is wearing a khaki beige dress (sugarmag) and Cenerentola the cinderella outfit (my old collection, sugarmag)
Anaïs was named after my very first perfume, back in secondary school days, not from chanel nor dior nor guerlain nor marc jacob, it was anaïs anaïs from Cacharel.
Anaïs' love for the scents originates from her gardening and flower arrangement, that makes her practise essential oils and as a perfumer, she studied perfume and aromatulogie in the famous city of Grasse

Today she is making a pot pourri, under the ambiance of aroma burning of fleury geranium and bergamot

in her provençal home

contented with a cup of camomile tea (on the right is a real sachet pourri, in strong lavender scent, from high altitudes in the provence)

her salon is decorated with provençal motifs, the warm, beloved provençal fabric tablecloth, wallpaper and furniture

Le Figaro of the day...she still writes her journal with her old fashioned typewriter!

Her favourite doll is from the fable, the little match seller girl

anaïs is wearing a bordeaux jumper in paisley print fabric from the provence (new from sugarmag)
anaïs anaïs from Cacharel is a perfume in a pastel pink, green and white flacon, whose ingredients are head note (airy): orange blossom, hyacinth; heart (sweet floral): rose, lily, jasmine; base (warm, addictive): amber, sandalwood, frankincense
we went to causeway bay to buy 'darling blythe', nowhere in the japanese bookshops~ thus we went to the extravaganza, the official blythe agent shop (this is also anaïs first appearance hehee, she's born last last xmas 2004 and though she's been physically with me quite often, never taken a photo of her, negligent me!!) ~ this little girl looking so proud being a blythe that she's not appearing quite natural in her first photo!
the much loved offical poster
then we ate at a convenient coffee shop at that shopping mall

oh another blythe photo publication
absorbed in reading

food was served ~ bon appétit darling!

digesting the album book - oh why don't i have a parco sister??!!
look at that, a new blythe brand
salut darling ~ about to take a bus back to work, oh a languid afternoon...
anaïs wore a beige country style babydoll dress with undergarment dress (september member gift sugarmag) and denim jacket with countrystyle fabric lining (cct) and denim boots (azone)
